Dear Potential Applicants,

Hope you are all keeping safe and well.

Thank you once again for your patience and understanding with the announcement of our future Awards.

To enable the Foundation to make realistic decisions and assess future opportunities in a practical manner, we need to watch closely the global COVID-19 situation.

We had envisaged holding our Auditions in March 2021, but with regret we will need to defer this once again as the second wave in Europe has really taken hold.

We are still at the mercy of the virus situation improving, Government travel rules and of course the Opera Houses being open and functioning before further dates and details can be confirmed.

Once things have settled down and we feel comfortable to announce our Awards and opportunities, these will be made available with detailed criteria to you all.

2020 Audition Update – May 2020

Dear Applicants,

Hope you are all keeping safe and well.

Firstly, thank you for your patience and understanding of our postponement of the 2020 Auditions.

We have been waiting for various announcements to enable the Foundation to make realistic decisions and assess in a practical manner, future commitments in order for us to communicate with you effectively on Award opportunities.

The date of the reopening of international borders remains vague and taking this into account, not to mention international opera houses unable to confirm season openings and repertoire, the Board of Directors has taken the only course of responsible action, which is to cancel the 2020 Auditions and hold Auditions in early March 2021.

We are at the mercy of the Government and the Opera Houses before further details can be confirmed, but we will do everything we can to ensure that we offer the best portfolio of Award opportunities to you all.

For all of the applicants that submitted their 2020 applications, thank you for your hard work and diligence and I want you to know that these applications have been carefully stored and if you had your references approved by the Foundation, you will not need to be resubmit them and  the same goes for headshots and CV’s.  Of course, if you would like to resubmit these items, you will be provided with an opportunity along with the chance to resubmit your repertoire. Dates, deadlines and a revised brochure will be distributed and on the website when further details can be confirmed.

Every application will commence with a phone conversation, so details of application requirements will be individually discussed with all applicants at that time.

The brochure will be released later in the year to ensure that information and details are realistic, practical and current.

2020 Auditions Postponement

Things are moving quickly in Australia with government and organisational policies changing rapidly to address public health issues in relation to coronavirus (COVID-19). There is global uncertainty which is causing instability.

Health and Safety is our number one priority and we are conscious to take measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. With this in mind, the Board of the Foundation has made a decision to postpone our 2020 Auditions to a date later to be confirmed.

Some of the venues booked for the Auditions are no longer able to provide a place for us to hold the Auditions, which is also another factor in the equation.

Please note that we appreciate and acknowledge all the work that you have put into your applications and this has not been wasted as we will be keeping that information safe and can use it when we hold our Auditions at a later date. A clear outline of this process will be provided once the dates have been reset.

No payments have been deducted from your credit cards so you can be rest assured that you have not been charged for your Audition.
